BRIEF: Created for the “Scene Project” in my Media Arts + Practice Studio I class. My group was asked to select a short scene from a movie or TV show, break down every shot into its formal elements (including composition and framing, camera angle, lighting and color temperature, depth of field, lens, exposure, camera movement, etc.), and then meticulously recreate it just using only the materials immediately available to us.

We transformed a dorm suite using student actors*, iphone lights, lamps, dumpster cardboard, plastic, a chapstick, a Sharpie, a squirt gun, and a fair amount of duct tape, into our own rendition of the Oscar award winning film, The Artist (2011)!
